The jury will be formed by 6 members: Néstor Goyanes, from Argentina; Leonardo Rial, plastic artist; Yolanda Carbajales, plastic artist; Xoán Pastor Rodríguez, Director of the Museo do Gravado de Artes, Ribeira; Virginia Ramírez Abreu, creator and cultural affairs director, for Galicia; and one Portuguese artist to decide.
Néstor Goyanes
Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1960
Graduate as Drawing and Painting National Professor from Prilidiano Pueyrredón Fine Arts National School at Buenos Aires in 1983. He has taken part in several individual and collective exhibitions in Argentina and all around the world and he has received the most important prizes in Argentina. He has developped many initiatives to promote and disseminate engraving techniques.
Leonardo Rial
Vilariño, Cangas do Morrazo, 1953
He began working on plastic arts in 1985. His career involves individual and collective exhibitions. He has taken part in several national and international competitions receiving important prizes. He has been a member of various juries and workshops.
Yolanda Carbajales
Caracas, Venezuela, 1968
Graduate in Fine Arts from Salamanca University, specialized in Design and Audiovisual. Her work is defined and recognized with important national and international awards for the use of the mezzotint engraving technique. She has taken part in several individual and collective exhibitions and her works are part of important public and private collections.
Xoán Pastor Rodríguez
Porto do Son, Galicia, 1973
He has a degree in Galician-Portuguese Language and Literature and Spanish Language and Literature from Santiago de Compostela University. Since 2017 he has been in charge of the Arts Engraving Museum, Ribeira, A Coruña.
Virginia Ramírez (La Polaka)
La Habana, Cuba, 1971
Doctor of Art History by Santiago de Compostela University. She has developped her career in different responsabilities related to artistic investigation, affairs and creation, in relation with writing, cinema and plastic arts.
